The Short Version

  • Tool inputs never leave your device. All calculations happen in your browser. We never see, store, or transmit your data.
  • We use Google Analytics 4 to count page visits and understand which tools are useful. This uses cookies.
  • No accounts, no email collection, no personal data. We have no user database.
  • No data is sold to advertisers or third parties.
  • You can opt out of analytics at any time using a browser extension or your browser's privacy settings.

What We Collect

1. Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

We use Google Analytics 4 (Measurement ID: G-QB6Y08N8K7) to collect aggregate usage statistics. This tells us things like:

  • Which pages and tools are visited most often
  • What countries visitors come from (at a regional level, not individual level)
  • Which browsers and device types are in use
  • How long a typical visit lasts

GA4 sets the following cookies on your device:

Cookie Purpose Duration
_ga Distinguishes unique users 2 years
_ga_QB6Y08N8K7 Session state for this property 2 years
_gid Distinguishes users (short term) 24 hours

These cookies contain a randomly generated client ID. They do not contain your name, email address, IP address, or any personally identifying information.

Google processes this data under their own privacy policy. You can read it at policies.google.com/privacy.

2. Nothing Else

That's the complete list. We do not use:

  • Advertising cookies or tracking pixels
  • Session replay tools (no Hotjar, FullStory, or similar)
  • A/B testing platforms
  • CRM or marketing automation systems
  • Any server-side logging of visitor data

How Tool Processing Works

Every tool on Fast Tools runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. When you enter data into a tool — whether it's a salary figure, a mortgage amount, a WiFi password, or medical information — that data is:

  1. Processed locally by JavaScript in your browser tab
  2. Never transmitted to our servers
  3. Never stored in a database
  4. Cleared from memory when you close the tab or navigate away

This is not a policy choice we could walk back — it's an architectural fact. We do not have a backend capable of receiving or storing your tool inputs. There is no server processing your calculations. The tool code runs on your device, not ours.

Currency and Exchange Rate Data

Some tools (currency converters, international financial calculators) fetch live exchange rates from the European Central Bank via the Frankfurter API (api.frankfurter.dev). These requests contain no personal data — they are simple public API calls identical to what any website visitor would make to a public endpoint.

How to Opt Out of Analytics

Browser extension: Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on provided by Google. This prevents GA4 from collecting data in any browser where the extension is active.

Privacy-focused browsers: Browsers like Firefox with Enhanced Tracking Protection enabled, Brave, or Safari with Intelligent Tracking Prevention will block GA4 cookies automatically in many configurations.

Browser settings: Most modern browsers let you block third-party cookies entirely under Settings > Privacy. This will prevent GA4 from setting its session cookies.

Using the site with analytics blocked works exactly the same as without — no features are gated on analytics consent.

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through this site, please contact us so we can investigate.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy — such as adding a new analytics provider or changing how data is processed — we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We recommend checking back periodically if this is a concern.
