How to Use the World Clock
The world clock updates in real time, showing the current local time in 20+ major business cities. Use the business hours overlap section to quickly see who is currently in their workday.
Reading the business hours indicator
Green means the city is currently within 9am–5pm business hours. Yellow means they are close to business hours (within 1 hour). Red means they are outside business hours — early morning, evening, or overnight.
Finding meeting windows
Select two cities in the Meeting Windows section. The tool calculates all time slots today where both cities are within business hours simultaneously. For a New York–London pairing, the overlap is roughly 9am–1pm New York time (2pm–6pm London).
Common international scheduling challenges
New York to Singapore (12 hours apart): very limited overlap — early morning NY = late evening SG. New York to London (5 hours): good morning overlap. London to Sydney (9-11 hours depending on DST): early morning London = evening Sydney. Consider rotating inconvenient meeting times among team members.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this world clock tool free?
Yes, completely free with no signup required. See current times in cities worldwide and find meeting overlap windows.
How do I find the best meeting time across time zones?
The business hours overlap section shows green (both parties in 9am-5pm), yellow (one party outside business hours), and red (both outside business hours). Choose a green or yellow window for meetings. A 9am call in New York is 2pm in London — acceptable for both.

What time zones are included?
The world clock includes major business cities across all inhabited continents: Americas (New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, São Paulo, Toronto), Europe (London, Paris, Amsterdam, Zurich), Middle East (Dubai), Asia (Mumbai, Singapore, Tokyo, Shanghai), and Oceania (Sydney, Auckland).
How do I add a custom city?
Use the search box to find any city or UTC offset. The tool supports all IANA time zones, so you can add any location worldwide. For small towns, choose the nearest major city in the same time zone.
