How to Use the Group Activity Picker
Deciding what to do with a group can be surprisingly hard — everyone has an opinion, nobody wants to commit, and the process eats up time you could be spending doing the thing. The group activity picker breaks that pattern by giving you one concrete suggestion to react to.
Step 1: Set Your Group's Profile
Choose your group size (2–4, 5–10, 11–20, or 20+), your collective energy level (chill, moderate, or active), whether you want indoor, outdoor, or virtual activities, and the age mix of your group. Each filter eliminates activities that genuinely don't work for your situation.
Step 2: Pick an Activity
Hit "Pick Activity!" to get a suggestion with the activity name, category, group size range, energy level, time needed, and materials required. The card-fan animation gives it a satisfying reveal. If the first suggestion doesn't land, hit "Re-roll" — the previous result is excluded so you always get something fresh.
Step 3: Save What Works
Click the star icon to save any activity to your browser's Favorites list. Over time you build a vetted collection of activities your group already likes. Use "Draw from Favorites" to pick from your saved list when you want a known good option.
Types of Group Activities Available
The database covers five categories. Games includes board games, card games, outdoor lawn games, and trivia — ideal for low-energy evenings. Creative activities range from group painting to music jams. Active covers team sports, relay races, and hikes. Social includes potlucks, karaoke, and scavenger hunts. Learning covers book clubs, workshops, and skill-share sessions.
Remote Team Activities
Select "Virtual/Remote" in the Setting filter to see activities that work over video call. Online trivia, virtual escape rooms, collaborative Spotify playlist building, and synchronous movie watching are all included.
